If you’ve been blogging for any amount of time, you’ve probably come across bloggers who swear by Pinterest group boards. But if you’re anything like me when I first started out, you don’t understand exactly what Pinterest group boards are. Or how they can help you. Or how to use Pinterest to grow your blog, period.

I wrote this post to share some of my tips. You can rock Pinterest with a low amount of followers, which is what makes it so valuable.

How to Use Pinterest to Boost Your Traffic

  1. Use SEO-friendly keywords relating to your blog everywhere: In your Pinterest bio, board names, and pin descriptions.
  2. Make a Pinterest board just for your blog posts and create 1-2 Pinterest graphics for each of your blog posts and pin them to your blog board!
  3. Use Tailwind and BoardBooster to schedule pins to your other boards so that your account is always active at optimal times. You can literally schedule a batch of pins to last you for a week or a month and then not have to worry about it again. Both services have free trials you can try out!
  4. If you’re looking to develop a complete Pinterest strategy for your blog, I highly recommend investing in the book Pinteresting Strategies. The author uses Pinterest to get 200,000 page views and make over $5,000 per month blogging. This book is SO helpful and she shares her exact Pinterest strategy step-by-step.
  5. Join PINTEREST GROUP BOARDS. Duh. That’s the whole point of this post. Group boards are the most valuable asset for bloggers on Pinterest. They instantly expand your audience. I schedule my blog posts to go out to all of the group boards I am a member of, and I get tens of thousands more views than I would with just my own followers.

What Are Group Boards, Exactly?

Pinterest group boards are just like regular Pinterest boards, but the group board owner can invite contributors to pin to the board.

Any time you follow someone’s account on Pinterest (and not just follow a few of their individual boards) you are also following all of the group boards they contribute to. So as you can imagine, group boards typically have a ton more followers than the average user has!

This will help you a TON in getting traffic to your blog. Why? Because you are instantly increasing the scope of your Pinterest audience!

The only tricky thing about group boards is finding good ones to join. That’s why I put together this list for you to save you time. Without further ado, here are more than 120 group boards, organized by blogging niche!

How Do I Join These Group Boards?

Each Pinterest group board on this list may have specific instructions for joining. Most can just be found in the board description. You may have to email or DM the group board owner, or fill out a form they’ve created, in order to be added to the board.

Remember to respect any rules and regulations for the boards once you are invited!
